Nakagami praises 2024 Honda: “Completely different, easier to reach maximum performance”

Takaaki Nakagami is excited about Honda’s new bike for the 2024 MotoGP season, highlighting significant improvements from a difficult 2023 season. After a difficult season and the loss of Marc Marquez to Ducati, Honda has unveiled the RC213V 2024, showing impressive progress and hopes of recovery. Team.

Nakagami, Honda’s most experienced rider since Marquez’s departure, praised the 2024 bike for reaching the top more easily than last season. In an interview with MotoGP.com, Nakagami shared his exciting impressions: “During the winter break, I can clearly see that the HRC engineers worked hard to change everything, including the chassis and engine specifications. The new RC213V features significant changes to the frame and engine, reflecting Honda’s new approach to the 2024 season. Nakagami emphasized that during testing at Sepang, all four Honda riders agreed that the bike performed much better than last year.

“My lap times and the other Honda riders have improved a lot. We have a good base, but there are still some small areas where we can improve,” added Nakagami.

The Japanese driver, despite being confident that he could not repeat his 2020 form from the past three seasons, sees the 2024 season as a new challenge. It focuses on getting the best performance out of the new engine and exploiting its full potential.

Nakagami expressed his satisfaction with the significant improvements achieved during the Sepang test, stressing that the new 2024 model will reach peak performance more easily than last season. Expectations are now high to see how Honda will continue to improve throughout the year as fans look forward to an exciting start to the 2024 MotoGP season.
