Heartbreaking Revelations Surround Shocking Depart.
On Wednesday the news broke that Guenther Steiner – the unlikely star of Netflix’s F1 docuseries Drive to Survive – had parted ways with the Haas team he helped build from scratch and entered into Formula 1 in 2016, with Ayao Komatsu promoted to the role. The announcement sent shockwaves through the paddock, leaving fans and teams grappling with the sudden void left by the respected team principal.

Guenther Steiner, who had been with the Haas Formula 1 team since before day one, has been shown the exit door.
The circumstances surrounding Steiner’s exit remain sh in mystery, with neither the team nor Steiner himself offering a detailed explanation.

The Italian racing principle, had been a crucial part of HAAS, the American team, from its very first baby steps in the F1 world, and has guided it through many difficulties. He has been the father like figure to the whole F1 paddock.

Steiner leaving Haas was certainly not a development expected by many; team owner Gene Haas, in a team statement, offered some insight on why this shocking decision was made.

Far from an F1 novice, Steiner having worked with Jaguar and Red Bull before Haas, Gene suggested a different mentality at the “heart” of the team’s leadership was needed, which can be provided by someone from an engineering background in Komatsu

People and drivers from the whole F1 grid took to social media to show their gratitude and bid goodbye for his unselfish contribution to the sport. Messenger poured in from fans all over the world to show the legacy he left on the F1.
