Why Are There No Grand Prix Events In December 2023?

1 years ago By Sports Desk

For many of the F1 fans around the globe, it is a question of million dollars that why the F1 calendar doesn’t have any races on December? Why does every season ends in December?

Here , in this article , we will discuss the reasons behind such activities and the calender planning of FIA for each F1 season.

1. Winter/Christmas Break-

As we all know Motorsport and F1 emerged from Europe and most of the races are either in Europe or in other Western Countries where Christianity and Christian values are well maintained. So every F1 season typically follows March to December rule. And after December the winter and Christmas break falls where everyone takes break to be with their families during the festivities after a long tiring season. And again get refreshed for a new season.

2. Cold,Cold Winters-

If we h notice, we can see that most races are either in Europe, or Western Countries or in some other countries where extreme winter falls after December and stays for the next 3 months.Extreme winter in the sense that there is snowfall, extreme subzero temperatures along with the diposition of black-ice on the track. So these conditions make driving/racing very dangerous. So, the season is curtained up before that.

3. Logistical Planning And Effort-

F1 races in a season takes place all along the globe, in different places. So, it takes drastic and huge effort to transport all the materials to organize races, built team paddocks, cafeterias etc. Even the F1 cars are transported everywhere via sea. So this much transportation needs a lot of planning and execution. So, within this break all of these are done.

4.Tradition Of F1-

This trend of ending a F1 season had been going on since the start of the competition. So,this has became a tradition and FIA is maintaining it.So, these are some of the logical and valid reasons behind why there is no race in December in a F1 calendar. Hope you fans do understand!
