Uccio Salucci Hits Back at Critics: “I was annoyed people said ‘Valentino Rossi’s parasite’”

Uccio Salucci, the Italian man dubbed Valentino Rossi’s “best friend” or sometimes referred to as Rossi’s right-hand man, an ever-present alongside the legendary rider in several different roles, was criticized as a parasite.

From Rossi’s rise in MotoGP to now, Uccio Salucci remains an important person for Rossi; he is now the team principal of Rossi’s VR46 MotoGP team.

But this closeness with “The Doctor” also brought Salucci disgusting criticism and mockery from the haters of Rossi and even from his admirers!

In a recent interview, Salucci hit back at his critics, saying that “he was annoyed by the people simply labeling him as Valentino Rossi’s parasite.” He defended their childhood friendship with Rossi and reflected on his significance in Rossi’s career.

In Salucci’s defense, he said that his and Rossi’s relationship goes back to their childhood days and their shared passion for motorsport. He further stated that their friendship is much more private and not only limited to the MotoGP grid.

Over the years, Salucci has had the luxury of enjoying the unique experience of remaining side-by-side with a childhood friend who became a worldwide sporting legend. And because of this, Salucci has always been a scapegoat for all the critics out there behind the MotoGP world.

But now he has taken a front-foot approach to meet with this false criticism and criticize it firmly. And it is a very right thing to do.

He remarked, “You are forced to unite when you experience certain emotions together, good or bad, for so many years together.”

“I told him several times at the races, ‘Look, I think we made a mistake here; maybe we should have done it this way.’ The following time, I watched on TV that he had actually done it.

“They gave it to me and to him; these are the things that give you security and power.

I was thrilled to notice that he frequently paid attention to me.

“I recall that after we put our suitcases in our homes and talked on the phone for two minutes, we left the general practitioners.

I went out, and we met in the bar, despite my mother’s advice that I could spend some time with her after a week with him.

A true friendship in its pure form, Uccio and Rossi’s relationship is something very special that the sceptics will not understand. Buy still Uccio made an very emotional statement which really touches one’s heart.
