Ricciardo Unveils Details of Ferrari F1 Seat Discussions

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Daniel Ricciardo has revealed details of talks about a move to the Formula 1 team Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton’s surprise announcement that he will move to Ferrari at the end of the 2024 season has thrown light on Ricciardo’s previous talks with the Italian team.Ricciardo, who has previously been linked with Ferrari to replace Charles Leclerc in 2021, shared the discussion and dynamics of the talks.

Although he eventually moved to McLaren, the Australian battled for a Ferrari seat before Carlos Sainz was selected.- There were talks, but the deal was never here. Will you sign it? “It never went that far,” Ricciardo said, stressing that the talks had not reached the second or third level. He insisted that despite talks, he was never very close to a deal, which is why he keeps the Italian side on his radar due to their rivalry as one of the best teams.Ricciardo, now in his 14th season in Formula 1 with Red Bull sister team RB, who replaced Nyck de Vries at half-time last year, said talks with Ferrari had resulted in a deal not being signed. This highlighted the competitive nature of Ferrari, a high performance team that was still possible.

Arriving in Italy, his father’s birthplace, Ricciardo downplayed the cultural connection in his decisions and instead focused on the team’s competition on the track. He maintained a pragmatic approach, recognizing Ferrari’s status but not letting other important aspects overshadow it.”I never wanted to go all out and say, ‘Oh, it would be great to be a Ferrari driver one day’. I had a simple approach: if it worked, if the time was right, then maybe it would happen. But I just didn’t go,” Ricciardo said. saidAs Ferrari unveils its new F1 car for next season, the team that won last season with Carlos Sainz is looking for a more consistent title challenge. Ricciardo’s revelations provide an insight into the complex deliberation and decision-making processes in the dynamic world of Formula 1. It is to see now where the fate leads!
