Marquez Addresses Past Grudges and Revenge in MotoGP

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Eight-time world champion Marc Marquez has expressed his desire to put past resentments behind him and focus on seeking revenge in the 2024 MotoGP season. Now riding a Ducati, Marquez aims to not only compete at a high level, but also overcome opponents who have benefited from his recent challenging years.

Asked by AS if there are people he wants to put in their place, Marquez responded affirmatively, highlighting that, although he has a past of achievements, his focus is on the present and what he can still achieve. He emphasized the importance of forgetting what happened and focusing on his current performance, avoiding driving with resentment, as this would lead nowhere.By switching to Ducati in 2024, Marquez sees not only an opportunity to compete on equal terms, but also to overcome recent difficulties.

His change of team creates a new dynamic and the possibility of settling scores with other drivers who enjoyed his years of struggle on the track.Expectations surrounding Marquez are high, especially considering the recent successes of 2023 Gresini Ducati team riders Fabio di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez. The team’s impressive results have boosted confidence in Ducati, and Marquez is determined to showcase his skill and competitiveness in the coming season.

Marquez recognizes that no one is eternal in sport, but he seeks to prove that his ability to win is not something of the past. He intends to focus on his current performance and let the results speak for themselves. Despite the lack of victories in the last two years, Marquez sees 2024 as an opportunity to turn things around and prove his worth. The MotoGP world is eager to see how Marquez will fare in this new phase of his career. With the move to Ducati and the declared desire to seek revenge, the 2024 season promises to be exciting for fans of the sport.
