Jeremy Clarkson, known for his unique personality and prominent role on Top Gear, recently shared his views on the future of his school friend and motorsport icon, Adrian Newey. In an article for The Sun, Clarkson offered an interesting perspective on Newey’s next steps following his departure from Red Bull Racing, where he served as technical director for 19 years and played a key role in two championship eras and in designing winners many cars.

Clarkson highlighted the speculation surrounding Newey’s fate, with many suggesting he could join Ferrari or Mercedes. However, Clarkson offered a unique perspective by suggesting that Newey might choose to pursue another passion: sailing. He mentioned that Newey had started work on a new sailboat and at the age of 65 could decide to devote his retirement years to sailing around the world.

This proposal from Clarkson opens a new path for Newey, who has always been immersed in the world of motorsport.
