18-year-old American driver Jack Crawford embarks on an exciting career path when he joins the famous Formula 1 team, Aston Martin. Following his role with the Red Bull Junior team, Crawford committed himself to Aston Martin’s young driver program, marking an important chapter in his rise in the world of motorsport.

As well as racing with French team DAMS in the 2024 Formula 2 season, Crawford has committed to joining Aston Martin’s Young Driver Development Programme. This comprehensive program includes activities ranging from physical training to simulations at AMR’s technology campus, ensuring young North American talent is immersed in the demands of motorsports at the highest level.

With impressive spells in previous seasons, including two seasons in Formula 3 and a move to Formula 2 in 2023 where he took a major win in Austria, Crawford has shown great potential. His background with Red Bull’s junior team cemented his reputation as a promising driver and prepared him well for this next challenge with Aston Martin.

Speaking about the new phase of his career, Jack Crawford expressed his pride and excitement. “I am proud to take this next step in my career,” Crawford said. “The Aston Martin Formula 1 team is a great place to learn and develop and the program ahead looks exciting.”

Team manager Mike Krak also shared his optimistic opinion about Crawford’s addition to the team. “He has shown tremendous potential throughout his career and we look forward to supporting his learning and development as he takes command of AMR22 for the first time,” said Krak.

This strategic move by Aston Martin to welcome young talent underlines the team’s commitment to improving development and offers valuable opportunities to emerging drivers. Crawford joins other prominent figures such as 2022 Formula 2 champion Felipe Dragovic, who will remain the team’s reserve driver.

As Jack Crawford embarks on this new phase, the racing community is eagerly anticipating his on-track performance, both in Formula 2 and in his development activities with Aston Martin. One thing is for sure, Crawford is determined to make the most of this exciting opportunity by making his mark in F1.
