Larson’s attempt to complete the challenge was an impressive feat that had only been accomplished by a handful of drivers before, such as Kurt Busch, John Andretti, Tony Stewart and Robbie Jones.

Hale’s choice to turn down an offer from IndyCar highlights the diversity of approaches drivers can take at different stages of their careers.
