First whispers in Italy that Pramac are “trying again” to sign Marc Marquez

1 years ago By Sports Desk

MotoGP racers are buzzing with rumors emerging from Italy that suggest the Pramac Ducati team is looking at Marc Marquez for the 2025 season.

Eight-time champion Marc Marquez is a target for Pramac Ducati for next season, according to rumors coming out of Italy.

After leaving Honda this year to join Gresini Ducati, Marquez is currently only tied to his new team on a one-year deal. His adaptation to last year’s Ducati has been very productive in the first three stages of the MotoGP season, suggesting more promising moments are ahead.

However, despite early success with the Gresini team, there is speculation that Marquez could be tempted by an offer from Pramac Ducati, who have reportedly reopened their interest in the Spanish champion.

According to reports from Motosprint in Italy, Pramac Ducati is “trying again” to sign Marquez, showing that they are determined to lure the famous rider into their ranks.

Although Marquez has expressed his appreciation for the independent Gresini Ducati team, the report suggests he prefers the idea of riding the most recent version of the Desmosedici bike, which is enjoyed by riders on both the factory and Pramac teams . .

The possibility of wearing the factory team’s colors is also being considered by Marquez, adding another layer of complexity to his decisions for next season.

This move by Pramac Ducati shows a renewal of its interest in Marquez, who was previously linked to the team last year before choosing Gresini.

Currently, Pramac Ducati has Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli as its pilot duo, but both are out of contract at the end of this year. Martin is expected to leave the team regardless of whether they win the championship or not, potentially opening up space for Marquez to fill.

However, the future of the Pramac team itself is also uncertain, with its contract as a Ducati satellite team expiring this year. The decision to renew this partnership could directly affect Marquez’s chances of joining the team.

With Marquez back in action this weekend at the Spanish GP in Jerez, his race performances and behind-the-scenes action promise to keep MotoGP fans in suspense as they await the outcome of these intriguing rumours.
