Fabio Quartararo Teases Yamaha’s Exciting Project

11 months ago By Sports Desk

Fabio Quartararo, the reigning MotoGP world champion, has left fans in awe of his recent statements about the future of the Yamaha team. After a historic meeting with Yamaha engineers in Portimao, Quartararo decided to renew his contract for the next two seasons, despite a modest start to the season.

In his statements, Quartararo revealed that the meeting included discussions about a “huge project” being developed at Yamaha. Although the details are still under wraps, the French driver expressed his belief that the team is building something special for the future.

“The decision was made in Portugal,” shared Quartararo. “There was a big meeting with the senior management of Yamaha engineers about the project between now and the end of the year, and also for 2025 and 2026. There are some really interesting things that are still confidential at Yamaha. The project will be huge. “

Quartararo also praised the arrival of Yamaha’s new technical director, Massimo Bartolini, who has brought new ideas and perspectives to the team. In addition, he highlighted Yamaha’s commitment and loyalty to invest in the development of the motorcycle, which was a decisive factor in his decision to renew the contract.

“The balance in terms of improving the bike is really high at Yamaha. And with the arrival of Massimo Bartolini from Ducati, I believe he will bring us really good ideas,” Quartararo added. “Yamaha invests a lot in the project and it’s also my sixth year, so there is also their loyalty.”

Although the project in question remains a mystery, Quartararo is optimistic about the team’s future. I believe that Yamaha can make significant progress in the coming years and return to compete at the highest level of MotoGP.

“Yamaha can go fast, but not super fast because we need very little time,” explained Quartararo. “Already next year we will see some significant changes.” When it comes to 2024, it won’t be easy, but we are already seeing some steps forward coming mid-season.

With a renewed contract and an optimistic view of the future, Fabio Quartararo is determined to lead Yamaha back to the top of MotoGP. Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the mysterious project being developed behind the team.
