Aprilia takes a close look at Ducati rider “Enea Bastianini”

The MotoGP pre-season is underway and one of the teams looking for a Ducati rider is Aprilia. Gresini Racing Team’s young driver, Enea Bastianini, caught the team’s attention at the Sepang tests in April, raising expectations for an exciting campaign next year.

In April, club manager Paolo Tardozzi expressed his interest in Bastiani and highlighted his progress since last season. Tardozzi emphasized that the Italian rider will show a consistent and reliable performance, which shows that he can be counted on in MotoGP.

“Enea Bastianini has proven that he is the rider to watch in 2022 and we are very confident that he will be one of the contenders,” said Tardozzi. The spokesman said Aprilia had noticed Bastianini’s improvement and believed he would be a serious competitor in the future.

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia said the same at the Sepang test. While stressing how difficult it was to produce solid results in pre-season testing, Bagnaya praised Bastiani for his excellent resilience in the Malaysian heat.

Bagnaia admitted that it was difficult to predict the performance during the trial, but he was confident that Bastianin would compete next season. According to him, the consistency of the Italian driver is a good sign that he can be a strong competitor in the next races.

For his part, Bastianini was pleased with Ducati’s performance in testing, particularly with the 2024 version of the bike. He showed that the engine sounds better compared to last season, which increases speed in short and long races.

Bastianini’s impressive performance in Sepang attracted the attention of not only Ducati, but also rival teams, including Aprilia. Challenges and tough competition are key elements of an exciting MotoGP season, and it looks like Bastianini could be a big piece of the puzzle.

As the MotoGP season approaches, Aprilia’s commitment to Bastiani adds an interesting layer to the racing world. Fans are looking forward to an exciting battle on the roads, where talented drivers like Bastianini will make 2024 exciting.
