Alvaro Bautista: MotoGP Now Tougher to Control Than Ever Before

1 years ago By Sports Desk

The Spaniard Alvaro Bautista is one of the most recognisable faces in the motorsport industry. Bautista completed in the MotoGP series from 2012 to 2018.
A 125cc world champion in 2006 Alvaro Bautista currently a two-time  and the reigning World superbike champion.

Bautista, known for his tenacity and skill on the track, has experienced the shifting dynamics of MotoGP firsthand and recently made  a comparison between the two categories of Motorsport.

In MotoGP He said  ‘ before there was more options for controlling the bike but now due to aerodynamics it’s becoming difficult.it requires changes in riding style. The bikes are more rigid in terms of their movements. If you don’t know how to use aerodynamics, you’re lost. I liked it better when you could control the situation better.

Even though it was Bautista’s first participation since 2018, he wasn’t entirely healthy due to an injury he sustained before the event, which prevented him from delivering the kinds of performances and outcomes that were anticipated.

Nevertheless, Bautista managed to deduce some key distinctions between Superbike and MotoGP.

“You had more control over the bike before.” To Motorsport-total, Bautista said. Because of the aerodynamics, it is now more challenging because riding a motorcycle requires more effort.

You are lost if you don’t understand how to apply aerodynamics. When I had more situational control, I enjoyed it more.

Bautista is able to accomplish it in WorldSBK since the machines are not as rigid as

Comparing to world superbike he said there you can control the bike with the rear, there’s good traction. In MotoGP, when you lose traction with the rear tyre, you can’t recover. MotoGP has more power underneath, but you have to be careful with the throttle. Here, the riders ride at the highest level, there’s no doubt about that. Now the riders are much closer, the bikes are much closer together.
