Jorge Martin Provides Insight into 2025 Plans Amid Ducati’s Recruitment Efforts 340

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Pramac rider Jorge Martin is keeping an eye on Ducati’s moves as he looks forward to a possible promotion to the factory team in 2025. With the arrival of talents such as Francesco Bagnaia and Fermin Aldeguerre at Ducati, Martin hopes his own ambitions will not suffer. .

Despite Ducati renewing Banaya’s contract and signing Aldeguer, Martin remains optimistic about his chances. He has expressed his desire to move to the Ducati factory team, but admits it is still too early to make any final decisions. Martin believes his performance this season shows his ability and value as a driver.

Ducati sports director Mauro Grassili said that the decision regarding Bagnaya’s next year’s teammate has not been made yet. They will evaluate several options and make a decision when they are ready.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Yamaha are interested in Martin’s future should he decide to leave Ducati in search of a factory bike. However, Yamaha’s competitiveness may be a concern for him.

Martin has already missed out on a promotion to the Ducati factory team twice. In 2022, Enea Bastianini was chosen to replace him, and in 2023, the clause in his contract that would have automatically promoted him was left aside due to Bagnaya’s championship victory.

Despite this setback, Martin arrives at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao after winning the season-opening sprint race. He is determined to prove himself and secure a place in the Ducati factory team.

Upon Aldegger’s arrival at Pramac in 2025, Martin recognized the young driver’s talent and congratulated him on his achievement. He sees Aldeguer as an example for other young riders, showing that there are different paths to reach MotoGP.

So while Martin looks forward to his opportunity with the Ducati factory team, he is focused on showing his potential throughout the season and ensuring his voice is heard at the Italian team’s negotiating table.
