Bold Prediction for F1 2024: Sauber Tipped to Join Red Bull and Ferrari in Top Three

1 years ago By Sports Desk

The Swiss F1 Team Sauber is in a period of transition right now. After ending their partnership with Italian sports car maker Alfa Romeo after the completion of the F1 season in 2023, the sauber team will be rebranded as Stake F1 Kick Sauber in 2024.

With only two seasons left, the Sauber team will be merged with German car brand Audi, which will also be Audi’s first season at the pinnacle of Motorsport racing.

In 2023, the Sauber team only finished P9 in the Constructors’ Championship with only 16 points scored. Although the 2023 season didn’t go according to plan with a fresh identity and James Key installed as technical director, Sauber have their sights set on a far-improved showing for F1 2024, with Benjamin going as far as to tip them to show as the third-fastest team behind Red Bull and Ferrari.

When Harry Benjamin was asked to predict the top three teams of 2024 Formula 1, he said
“I predict that Red Bull is still going to have a bit of a gap with everybody else.
“I think that Ferrari—I’m on the hype train, so I’ll go—Ferrari will be the second-best team.”
“And I will go for Sauber, who will make a big step forward, as my wild prediction.”

With 10-time Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas among their ranks, Sauber possesses the driver strength to produce such outcomes.

Thankfully, Bottas has verified that improvements are on the way for their F1 2024 machine. Nevertheless, if he and Zhou Guanyu are to even consider challenging for the top three, their opponent has to be a significant upgrade over the C43.

Now Harry Benjamin said that, purely on this basis, the Sauber team now has the assistance and partnership of such a giant brand as Audi. Audi, whose name surely needs no introduction, is one of the most creative and finest automobile brands in terms of engineering, manufacturing, and modeling. So, surely, in this new era of cleanliness, there is hope to become one of the most dominant in the 2024 season of the F1 championships.
