Martin Brundle Questions Involvement of THIS F1 Team: “Why Do They Exist?”Verstappen Secures Massive Bonus for Stellar F1 Season with Red Bull

The former racer and now a Sky Sports F1 pandit, Martin Brundle, has questioned Sauber’s involvement in the F1.

The Sauber’s worrying performance in the 2023
championship, in which the team finished 9th, only outperforming the Hass F1 team by a slight margin, is a downgrade from the 2022 season, where they finished in 6th position.

However, years in and years out, the Sauber team has shown tremendous speed and constant performance in the F1 field, scoring crucial points and finishing in the middle half of the table.
But in recent years, that performance has become scarce for them, fueling Martin Brundle’s question about the team’s existence in Formula 1.

The Sauber team is all set for a takeover by the German automaker Audi in 2026. This also marks Audi’s entry into motorsport’s highest level of competition, F1. But till then, the Swiss F1 still has two years to drive in F1 under the ‘Stake F1 Kick Sauber’ name.

Speaking about this, former F1 driver Martin Brundle said, “The transition period could be challenging. With two years to go before Audi’s full integration, Sauber could be facing difficult campaigns in 2024 and 2025, further jeopardizing its position in the sport.”

Martin Brundle’s question of Sauber’s existence is justified, considering that the team hasn’t achieved any significant results in its time in F1 and now only has two years left in F1 to define a purpose before Audi’s takeover in 2026.
