1 years ago By Sports Desk

Day two of the official 2024 British superbike testing at the Circuitto de Navarra in Spain saw intense action, with thrilling performances and surprising developments as riders tested their machines ahead of the first stage of the season.

Ducati – Hugger PBM Ducati team’s Glenn Irwin showed his determination by leading the time at the end of the day. With an impressive lap of 1:36.678, Irwin made it clear that he was ready to take part in the competition this year.

However, the battle for supremacy was fierce as the Yamaha – OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing team showed its strength. Ryan Vickers and Kyle Ride finished second and third respectively, close to Irwin’s time.

One of the surprises of the day was the performance of reigning BSB champion Tommy Bridewell. Bridewell, who now races for the Honda Racing UK team, finished eighth. Considering the level of competition this season, their journey to retain the title promises to be challenging.

Along with the best drivers, other competitors also stood out during the testing. Highlights include Danny Kent of the Yamaha – McAMS Racing Yamaha team, Josh Brooks of the BMW – FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team and Andrew Irwin of the Honda Racing UK team; all of which demonstrate impressive feats around the corners of the Circuitto di Navarra.

The competitiveness was evident from the start of the day, with Kyle Ride leading the morning session. But Glenn Irwin responded with the fastest lap of the afternoon and established himself as the fastest driver of the day.

Excitement for the first leg of the season is building as teams continue to change their setups and improve their tactics. Racing fans can expect an exciting spectacle as riders line up at the Circuitto de Navarra for the opening of the 2024 British Superbike race.

With the competition this fierce and the clock so close, every race promises to be an epic battle for victory. The 2024 season promises to deliver plenty of action and excitement for British superbike fans worldwide.

As final preparations are made and the teams prepare for the battle to come, one thing is certain: the 2024 British Superbike will be an unforgettable season, full of exciting races and unforgettable moments at the Circuitto de Navarra and beyond.
